About me

Born in Lima, Peru

Born in Lima, Peru, I grew up in an internationally mobile family due to my father’s work in development cooperation. My early years were filled with diverse experiences – riding the yellow school bus, playing baseball, and enjoying Peru’s incredible food. Multilingual from an early age, I am fluent in Dutch, Spanish, and English. Going for the max is my life motto, in everything I do.

Partner at PwC

I spent 29 years at PwC, with over 17 years as a partner. I can honestly say I thrived in the high-energy, fast-paced environment. Leading complex projects, winning major proposals and building strong client relationships across the globe. My time at PwC honed my leadership, strategic thinking, and ability to navigate complex challenges. I loved the dynamic spirit of my teams and the excitement of international business. My standards are high. 

 

Deeper purpose

However, the relentless pace eventually led me to question my deeper purpose.  I was, like most human beings in this era, a walking head. A concussion that invited me to slow down, sparking a journey (from 2012 onwards) of self-discovery where I learned to reconnect with what truly mattered. At this point, my search for spirituality, purpose and energy began. And, as a go-for-the-max type, I took a really deep dive into it. I read every book, took every course, met countless teachers and became my own guinea pig. I was hungry to discover this new world of feeling, heart connection, brainpower, neuroscience, positive psychology, buddhism, taoism, shamanism, deep inner transformation, discovering divine feminine power, creation power, systemic work, quantum physics, energy and frequency. To name a few things. I did many studies in this area, but also wanted to experience it. I did leadership circles, systemic work, energy healings, breathwork, endless meditations, transmissions, kundalini awakenings, even psychedelics like huachuma and ayahuasca. Also, hikes in nature like Santiago de Compostela, Inca Trail, and Kilimanjaro helped me ground.

I woke up in a new world. Looking at things and people with compassion. With awe. We are absolutely amazing human beings meant to create! Our heart is the most powerful energy center, but we only use our brains! We grow up and train our brain to become dominant. Our brain is brilliant, but also a survival mechanism protecting us from danger. It thinks in fear, not love. 

This journey also leads me back to my childhood dream: being a teacher. The wisdom I encountered is something I want to unlock for a much bigger audience. Repairing the connection to the true self, in individuals and organisations. If people find out who they truly are, it will change the world. That is why I stepped out of my safe, luxury life as a PwC partner to step into the unknown. My life experiences all come together in Tribe 500. This is what I need to do.
